Hi,
I'm completely new at this so I have a question. I will be using an Arduino Uno, and a Motor Shield V2 for Arduino on a robot. Next, I will be using (el wire, an inverter, an EL Wire Interface board so I can program the inverter to flash using the arduino). In regards to the Inverter, I would like to stop the inverter from drawing power from an external battery until the programming instructs it to turn on. On top of using it to control a few motors, can I also use the Motor Shield V2 to control the battery draw from the inverter? If not, is there something else I could use to accomplish this?
Thank you
Motor Shield V2 for Arduino

Re: Motor Shield V2 for Arduino
You could do that with the motor shield. Connect it to on of the motor channels and program it like a DC motor. Set the speed to 255 (100%) and run. I'd verify the polarity first and be careful not to run BACKWARD, since reverse voltage would likely damage your inverter.
