Metal film vs Carbon film resistor
My situation is that I need one 68K metal film resistor for a x0x build, however I can only locate carbon film resistors of that spec. Will I be fine using a carbon-film resistor instead?

Re: Metal film vs Carbon film resistor
It's probably going to be fine.
Most resistors in the kit are 5%, as far as I'm aware. (Usually, metal films are 1% whilst carbon films are usually 5%.)
But that should be fine. Usually you'd only insist on using 1% if you're working with sensors or instrumentation and you need really high precision.
(I'm presently looking at the schematic, but it's big and complex and I can't find the 68k resistor).
