WIZnet page missing?

Post by pdxNat »

Howdy,

On the page: Adafruit Ethernet (XPort/WIZnet) shield for Arduino kit in the 4th paragraph where the text reads we can buy a WIZnet module here in the Adafruit shop for $25, that link goes to a blank Adafruit.com page.

Also, in the 3rd paragraph, the link for "WIZnet 811MJ module" goes to an Error Page.

Is the WIZnet ethernet module no longer available through Adafruit?

Cheers!

Okey-dokey. Thanks for the heads up. This has been good due diligence. THANK YOU for your wonderful tutorials, great shop, and outstanding community spirit!!!!!

I <3 Adafruit!!!

The shield looks good. (Adafruit's Arduino Ethernet Shield product page. Arduino's Arduino Ethernet Shield info page.)

Thanks bunches!

Quick question on this, for this particular shield, this WIZnet should work for it correct? http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc ... ts_id=9473

From the product page:
Another option is the newer WIZnet 811MJ module, based on the W5100 chip. The WIZnet module is compatible with the official Arduino Ethernet library, which is easy to use and very powerful. However it does not have DHCP built-in which can make setup a bit frustrating if your network isn't friendly.
