Editing post

I've seen peoples post list an edit on it, i have yet to figure out how to edit my post, if you can point me how to that would be helpful, i'm sure its probably really simple and i'm just not seeing the edit button, so if you would try to not make me feel any stupider than i already feel for having to ask.

It's at the top-right of your post, near the "QUOTE" button. Make sure you're logged in.

I am logged in, but i don't even see the quote button on the post, i see a quote button when i hit reply, but its to but the marks in a post showing quotes, not to quote some automatically

Is your browser displaying any images? Are you using an overly-aggressive ad/image blocker?

it shows images just fine, like your smilie for example, it show the report icon thats about it, and on a fresh post of mine it shows the delete option (only for a few minutes) i'll post in a second of a screen show of what i see when i am looking a topic

hummm... i'm running google chome, no ad block or anything, i tried it in IE 8 with no add ons ect. same thing, what browser are you running?

just for fun i used google chrome to view the source code, found the following, have the link, but doesn't have a picture attached with it or anything that i can see(i'm not a HTML nut like mostfet is)

It works for me with Firefox 3.6 (Windows, Mac) and IE8.

The image for the EDIT and QUOTE buttons is defined in CSS, not directly in the page's HTML.
The CSS file is http://forums.adafruit.com/style.php?id=3
The button image file is http://forums.adafruit.com/styles/daigo ... _quote.gif
Try fetching and refreshing both of those files.

Oh, one more thing to check: What URL are you using to view this page?
For me it's http://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17750
