What part of this message makes the forum think it might be spam?Have you read the example code yet? I'm sure there are hints there that will help you convert the basis of the code to the netduino. You could also try the netduino forums for specific questions on the coding.

Re: Spam?
Franklin,
I also have gotten several captchas. But, I post a lot.
And, I have mis-read the captcha a couple of times.
Once, I had to re-write a post because the word "m i l k" is banned.
The spammers have shifted from creating new posts to adding to an existing post.
It is hard to imagine that the benefit is worth the effort.
Although, they must be making it pay in some way because it happens so much.
I do not know what the answer is.
Maybe spam is the cost of anonymity and the extremely low price of using the internet.

Re: Spam?
@franklin97355-
I believe the spam filter requires a captcha any time you include a URL in your post, as in your example.
We understand how annoying this is for all our honest customers. But the spam problem was becoming overwhelming, and we had to do something. It wasn't just our time spent deleting spam, either - some of the posts contained some truly offensive material, and we have lots of kids reading these forums. Parents were beginning to complain about it, especially from Europe, since the spam was being posted in the middle of the night, our time. By the time we would see it and delete it, it would be late morning/early afternoon overseas.

Re: Spam?
Hi Driver,
Maybe we can help.
How about if you allow several of the regular contributors to put posts 'on hold'?
They would not be deleted but would be removed from the 'visible' forum.
After reviewing them - Adafruit people could post or could delete them as you saw fit.
I suspect there are more of us than them.
What do you think?
John

John -
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass it up the line.
We've talked about things like this, but I gather that the implementation is not necessarily simple.
For now, we're asking our customers to try to be patient. There's been a lot going on here recently with the Big Move. I can't promise anything, but please understand that we are aware of the issues.

You guys work hard, we love you, and we know you aren't trying to yank us around.driverblock wrote:For now, we're asking our customers to try to be patient. There's been a lot going on here recently with the Big Move. I can't promise anything, but please understand that we are aware of the issues.
It's a twisted kind of milestone when you become popular enough to acquire your very own set of parasites (good luck with that, I hear penicillin helps) and capchas are a small price to pay for the high signal-to-noise ratio we all enjoy.
IMO it would be fun to have a second/alternate capcha based on electrical problems.. "Complete the voltage divider", "The 3db rolloff frequency for a passive RC filter with R=foo and C=bar is _blank_ Hz.", etc.

Re: Spam?
A delicate question: Do you have a reason to include your company name in an Adafruit customer support thread?
