Colour blind users banned from posting comments?

Post by aoakley »

Hi, why are colour blind (colourblind) users banned from posting comments on the main Adafruit website please?

If we are not banned, how do the one in ten males who are colour blind (red-green colour vision deficient), like me, use your resistor comment CAPTCHA please?

Values 3 and 5 are identical to colour blind people.

It's bad enough that such an inaccessible standard managed to get adopted for electronics without the discrimination spreading to websites too!

There are five times as many colourblind people as there are wheelchair users in first world countries - would it be acceptable for wheelchair users to be banned from commenting on your website?

(as if to rub salt into the wound, my own family name appears to be a banned spam word)
