Hi, I just received the FONA and am a little concerned that the gold plating on the through holes has not applied correctly. It looks quite poor quality.
Before I put it in my project I wanted to know if it will still work reliably. I've not had this problem with PCBs before so I don't know if it is okay or not.
Attaching photo for reference. Note the 5V and RX connections. Some are worse but hard to photograph with my camera.
Thanks!
FONA PCB quality issue?

Re: FONA PCB quality issue?
That could be the ENIG plating or it could be a little silver solder paste that brushed into that area and melted on. We'll ask our PCB house to check their ENIG plating setup. Either way, it has zero effect on the FONA, each module has full continuity to the pads and is tested before shipping. You will be soldering to those pads which will cover them with solder, it will bond just fine to either the gold or the underlying tin.

Excellent, thank you for the fast reply!
Looks like it is just solder paste, once I'd magnified it it was easier to see. So no probs.
