Hey everyone!
I have been frustrated by the slow, unreliable process of programming the miniPOV3 with a USB-serial adapter. To solve this problem, I made a simple adapter that lets you hook an AVR programmer with a 6-pin ICSP cable (like the Atmel AVRISP mkII or the Adafruit USBTinyISP) to the miniPOV3. This gets around all of the problems with USB-serial adapters and reduces the programming time from minutes to seconds!
Sure, you need to buy an AVR programmer, but if you are playing with microcontrollers you should have one anyway.
