I bought a Kit from maplin (yes, I live in the UK) , the TR time-elapse warning kit. I found out that the kit uses teh ATtiny2313. I was jumping up and down for joy when I found out that that microchip is also the Minipov3 chip. The only decent means avalible to me is a FTDI cable from a disastrous boarduino. I make a male to male connector from some header pins (also from maplin) and connected that from my breadboard to my cable. I have the IC in the middle of the board. What I would like to do is dump the contents of the chip to a file on my computer so I can revert back to time elapse if I want to and then burn the MiniPOV stuff to the chip.
My Questions Are:
1) What do I need to connect my wire in teh breadboard to teh chip?
2) Is what I want to do possible?
3) What should I stuff into the breadboard to make a MiniPov? (LED + Resistors)
Thanks. Please tell me if you want me to move this elsewhere. (Edit: removing stray IMG tag)
