^^ that post is spam.

You should look into some minipov firmwares that use a sensor. A hall effect sensor on the inside of the can where it can pass a magnet each revolution would make this display sync up very nicely. It would work like the SpokePOV does, in terms of timing.

Also, you can edit the timing in the firmware. Your letters are very narrow. Assuming you are spinning the can at that speed all the time, you could slow the timing down a bit to make the letters wider.
