MiniPOV3 Kit Programming Issue
I Just finished putting together my MiniPOV3 Kit, and im having issues programming it. I am running the linux distro OpenSuSE, and since i had my serial ports disabled, and was to lazy to turn them on when i finished, i set it up with my usb adaper. The MiniPOV itself seems to be fine, it works with all of the preprogrammed code, but whenever i try using the code for "Happy New Year!" it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even turn on. I tried shortening it down to Happy, and that worked fine, but not the whole thing. I checked and its 97 lines long, which is far under the said 250 that it can do. Any clue as to why this specific code will not work?

I had this problem, too, and largeimage.c worked after I found this thread. It would be awesome if there were a note in programming.html (where you write that it can hold a message up to 500 lines) or a comment in mypov.c (where one would see it when first customizing the pattern). It would save an occasional person a good chunk of diagnosis time.ladyada wrote:try largemessage.c
Other than that, nice, fun kit. Thanks!
