MIDI out: Slide not working

Hey everyone. I've been a happy x0xb0x builder and user since May of last year, but I just discovered my first problem:

When I sequence external gear, the Slide function doesn't seem to work. The Slide function works perfectly on the internal synth engine, but I only get a string of 16th notes on the MIDI out. At first I thought it might an error with Sokkos 2.0, but I've just reverted to the stock firmware, and it continues to happen, so it must be a fault in my build.

Where do I even begin to troubleshoot this?

the synth itself has a glide circuit, and it's not possible to reproduce this via MIDI alone
instead, the x0x firmware overlaps notes
on an avarage monophonic synth, overlapped notes would be played with portamento

Aha. I'll play around with it again, record some MIDI into my daw, and see what's happening. Thanks for your help!
