Re: Completed x0xb0x's (Post your pictures and sounds here!!)
thanks everyone for the kind words!
darf: nope, thats a 505 with wood sides. i had to raise the 505 in heights by 3 cm in order to fit all my mods inside.
it now has single outputs on 1/4 inch jacks, trigger outputs on 1/8 inch jacks, volume pots and pitch/warp pots (along with 8 new 40106 based oscillators)
my 626 is still unmodified (and sitting in some box in the basement)

thanks mate-
just wait for the next one (based on the components that you sold me)
currently i am pulling my hair out over the subosc - it worked perfectly on breadboard but my PCB design seems to have a fault - AND I CANT FIND IT.
damn.
its the last thing to be finished before i can finalize the frontpanel. that x0x has been in the works for far too long now.

Finished my first x0xb0x today...no major screw ups (left off a cap and had to put it on later and retune). I got a defective 1/4" Stereo Jack, but Willzyx is sending a new one (great customer service). Plugged the synth with some great sound...Looking forward to putting it into some tracks. I'm really excited about this, since I jumped head first into this project without breaking anything (my previous electronics experience was attempting to repair a broken radio). So far I've tested everything except syncing via USB (I'm a Mac, but I have tested the FT232, which I soldered myself), DIN Sync, and a couple of MIDI functions (everything works so far).

The audio clips a bit (thanks iMovie), but you can get the idea.

I usually haven't been into basic repetition lately, but this stuff is FRESH!!! I love the texture of the sounds, atmosphere, and all the effects. You should definitely be selling records..!
