so with the ba6110 the 12v line shorts out
but without it its fine
make sure you are putting it in the correct orientation
and that you are using the right socket
there are 2 sockets
one for the ba6110 and one for the ba662
if its all correct
then the ba6110 might be bad
or there might be a short on one of its pins
measure the resistance to ground
from all the pins of the ba6110 socket

Re: No sound on outputs (x0xsh0p.de kit)
Hi! Thank you very much for your reply, " guest " !
Yes, i'm sure that the chip is in the right socket ( IC15B ), in the right direction!
With the multimeter, I took the values that you asked me.
With no power and no chip in the socket, this are the values of resistance from the pins of BA6110 socket to ground :
1. 12.4 K
2. 12.4 K
3. 0
4. N.C. ( very big, seems to infinity, no connection )
5. 0
6. N.C
7. N.C
8. N.C
9. 8.3 K
Retaking the values with the chip inserted, I got the same results except for pin 8 which has a resistance of 19.68 k.
Do you think i've broken the BA6110 ?

yes
that sounds like a bad ba6110 then

Re: No sound on outputs (x0xsh0p.de kit)
Ok thank you for the explanation...i've already buy a new 6110, tomorrow or lately the day after, i will try if this problem can be solved! Thank you again!

Re: No sound on outputs (x0xsh0p.de kit)
Ok, the new BA6110 it's arrived...now it's seems to be ok, the voltage return to right values, but no sound from the mix out anyway, except a sort of low noise...probably the BA6110 are not the only mistake! Any suggestions, guys?? Thank you for your attentions...

Do you have an oscilloscope?
Is there signal at the volume pot? If so, the problem occurs later on.

Hi MMM ! Thank for your reply! Yes, i have an oscilloscope software, but any signal on Volume POT, all silence.
I've just change the BA6110, the first was defective, but now the voltage in 6110 are too low, i think...i just take the values on pins in keyboard mode without any button press :
1. 1.96 V
2. 1.96 V
3. 0
4. 2.70 V
5. 0
6. 2.17 V
7. 2.17 V
8. 2.17 V
9. 11.80 V
Any suggestions??

Re: No sound on outputs (x0xsh0p.de kit)
That doesn't look too far off.
Do you have signal on pin1 of the BA6110? This is going to be a very weak signal, though. Do you have signal at C20/C21?

Yes, the signal appear very good, clean and filtered at C20/C21, i've already taken from VR4, but there's no signal on PIN 1 of 6110...do you think there's another problem before the VCA chip?

Just to be on the safe side: The 5.33V supply side is working fine?

Yes, greater! First of sobstitute the BA6110 i have a short in 12V line, but now the power lines are very well...

I just test another time how far the sound are, and actually in PIN 1 of BA6110 the sound comes, but are very very low...

As I said before: The signal on Pin1 will indeed be very weak.exagonal wrote:I just test another time how far the sound are, and actually in PIN 1 of BA6110 the sound comes, but are very very low...
After looking again at your measurements it looks as if the voltages (except on pin 3, 5 and 12) are a bit on the low side.
Is the BA6110 socketed? If so, can you remove it and measure the voltages on those pins again?
If you can't remove it please measure the voltages on R126 (both sides).

Yes is socketed..ok now i take this values...but the pin 12 where is?

voltage on socket are :
1. 5.33
2. 5.33
4. 2.50

7. 5.00
9. 11.80
