Envelope help needed!!

Post by Billy472 »

Good afternoon!

I'm building my 1st x0xb0x and have finished both the VCO and VCF passing all tests along the way. I'm having problems with the envelope section. Its fully built but when I started to test the gating circuit like the adafruit guide suggests (measure voltage of north side of D35 whilst connecting R146 to R3) I seem to be measuring 12v before even connecting R146 to R3 and it should be 0v whilst disconnected.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Thanks in advance

Bill

hi!

if north side of d35 is where the ring on the diode is, then perhaps q31 is a 2sc536 instead of a 2sa733, backwards or it could even be broken.

take a look on all transistors and resistors in the vca section and make sure every part is right located and orientated!

Hi

Thanks for the heads up. It turns out Q37 was bad!

Cheers
