I recently built a x0xb0x from a willzyx kit however it is not sounding right, pretty sure all the components are in the right place and Ive checked my soldering a few times. I built it without using an oscilliscope.
The sound I get is quite clicky.
Would anyone be able to tell what section Isnt working just from a recording?
I have attached a quiet recording of me turning the resonance and cutoff. I think the sequencer is all working fine although I have never used any other x0xb0x before.
Thanks in advance

Re: x0xb0x not working properly
Since there are audible filter differences when turning the knobs I'm guessing that VCF and VCA are working - so this means that either the oscillator isn't working or the oscillator signal isn't making it to the filter.
Please check if you have an oscillator signal at the waveform switch (you can use the "cheap headphone" test as described in the online build manual).
Also check the voltage at IC11, pin 7: When in Keyboard mode press low C and high C and measure the two voltages.
