Pre-Assembled USB

Post by mrangry »

Has anyone ordered this feature with their kit?

Is the USB hard to assemble?

Is the USB module even necessary for the unit to work, as I am more of a hardware person ... I have never incorporated a PC into my setup/studio.

Thanks in advance,

I just read below that someone asked a similar question about the necessity of the USB, and I would like to update the firmware so I guess that answers that question ...

This leaves the other question, should I just order the USB pre-made? I am fairly handy at assembly, but for $20 is it worth it to just have it put together for me?

I did it myself - it was not that complicated, but if you are not experienced maybe you want to pay for it. The only tricky part is mounting the surface IC - the rest of it is no more difficult than the entire rest of the synth.
