Thanks for reading my post!
My xoxshop.de box worked allright for over two years, but adjusting the resonance gave some extra noise. So i just desoldered the pot and replaced it by a new one. Sadly now the potmeter wont affect the resonance anymore. Checked if potmeter was soldered right and the meter itself isn't dead either (measured while fiddling the knob).
Where to start solving this?
Resonance dead

Re: Resonance dead
i assume you've used a potentiometer of the same kind
now, do you have resonance in the filter, or no resonance at all (or something in between)?

Thanks for your quick reply!
There is resonance, and yes I replaced it with the only right one.

Re: Resonance dead
inspect the pins of the pot on both side of the board for anything that might be shorting two pins or so

Re: Resonance dead
Chckd it visually and multimeterwise, no short circuit..

Re: Resonance dead
with the x0x power switched OFF, measure the resistance between the two outter-most pins of the resonance pot, once with the pot set to min, and once set to max

Re: Resonance dead
Interesting. I have a x0xshop.de x0x that does the same (resonance not working).
Ill follow this with interest.
Thanks.

Re: Resonance dead
hm.. that looks normal then
look carefully thru the VCF section, on both sides

Re: Resonance dead
Found the problem!~One of the pcb lines was corrupted by my barbarical desoldering skills. after dripping a small dot of solder on it, the resonance ha risen from the grave!~
Antto, thanks for the help and enjoy the weekend.
