Inverse Gate/envelope?

Post by XoXo »

I just finished soldering the last components of my x0xb0x. The keyboard seems doing the opposite as requested: a sound is heard when nothing is pressed, while pressing keys will silent the sound. Only when accent is selected are the keys functioning in the right way (but with accent). What is wrong, what should it measure/test?

While building I did all the tests listed in the willzyx build guide and everything worked as described for the analog section.

Thank you for your help.

hm...
measure the gate voltage as it comes out of the cpu - at R146, both when a note is supposed to be played and when there should be no note

Dear Antto,

I have about 12mV when nothing pressed BEFORE R146 and 4.9V when pressing a music key. Look like the Eagle ref voltage and what I can expect a gate signal to be.

Best regards,
Romain

Oops, I just found that I soldered Q31 the other way round... this may explain that... Now I have to reverse it!

Q31 is on the output of the volume envelope... so very likely
