help with c5 voltage

Post by gzifcak »

hi,
could someone confirm the voltage reading at the junction of c5, r1 and r2?

right now i'm getting 0.L on my meter, and i suspect this is incorrect.

thanks in advance!

come on, what happened to all those mysterious Guests that were so helpful to other people? i'm dying here. it's been like 4 days of checking and rechecking every part in this power supply and i can't figure out what's wrong.

pretty please please please

basically, at the junction of d42 and d43 and c5, i get a voltage reading of 0.L. this is true for the top of the path to ic23, through to what should be the 5.333 output.

if i disconnect d42, i get 11 volts or so at this junction. next i'll trace that through the path and see what i end up with. i'll also try disconnecting d41 to see what happens.

can someone double check their power supply to verify that there is no voltage at this point?

thanks,
greg

ok, minor breakthrough:

apparently "0.L" means the voltage is higher than the meter setting. so i turned the meter to the next highest setting and this is what i'm actually getting at j4:

pin1 = 12v
pin3 = 24v

so my voltage is effectively doubled. ?

any ideas?

thanks,
greg
