Do you think if it's possible to get 16pos rotary switches with a regular d-shaft?
i'd like to use the same knobs as on filter, volume, tempo etc

take a rotary cutting tool to it and make your own "D"

I don't know of any that have these. You will have to search and then you would have to find one with the same foot print.
Rotary tool seems like the only option , or sand paper , if you grind too far don't glue the knob on use poster tack or bolt locker glue then you can remove the knob
