so its not really worth it I guess...aminoacid wrote:just did it with a multiturn 5k pot.
i dont know whats happening more than cutofff is increasing...
but i liked having the voltage a bit higher how ever.
also i tried two different ac adaptors and seemd to prefer one of them...
i feel a bit like a bull shiter

i wanna look at the vco on a scope before saying what i think.
but i ended up having the 12V a bit higher rather than lower.
let us know more about your moding!!!

Synth is build, but I'm waiting on the bootloader for my CPU, still no firmware...
then I can proceed.
I'm also thinking of putting a 14,4V zener on the power line (composed of a 6,2 and 8,2V zener).

Got it running!
I tweaked the 12 volts with a trimpot to 12.00V exact.
Got some mods to do, and then ill also will be destabelising the power.
The plan now is to change some caps to lower values, and put some zeners in. And maybe a trimpot to limit the current.
More soon...

Re: power mod C7 C8
hi.
i just had my xox in my workshop and switched filmcaps in the vcf for the 5th time...
while i was close to my scope i checked the output of the vco while i trimmed the 12v.
the only thing happening there was that the amplitude changed. its hard to tell if/how the overall sound changes with this...
i wanna experiment with the psu aswell further on. my ml303 has an additional regulator to feed the opamp with the correct voltage. and that machine behaves different to my xox. although it has ba662 while my xox has the 6110, but i dont think thats the issue.

I think the voltage isnt the thing to change but more so, he supply of current. And the voltage drop due to the lack of current.aminoacid wrote: the only thing happening there was that the amplitude changed. its hard to tell if/how the overall sound changes with this...

Re: power mod C7 C8
Im hoping to hear about your psu mod real soon!
Im looking for an ac adapter with lower voltage so i Can get closer to the original supply voltage of the opamp. Also would like to insert a zener+diode in some way like in the 303.
