Glide mod and VCF FM

Post by Waldschwammerl »

Hi,
I love my Xoxbox, and want to make it even better, with the glide time pod and the VCO to VCF FM mods.
I have done the FM mod, and it sounds not bad, with high resonance. But i have not buffered the waveform output with a 0.1uF ceramic cap, like its written in the wiki. I only have a 0,22uF cap at home, should i try it with that one?
And should it be between the pot and the resistor, or after the resistor?

The glide mod has not worked for me, i think becouse i have not cut the trace, I have only connected the wires from the pot to the 5 pin of IC11 to R89.
How and where must i "cut the trace", i dont understand this, please can somebody explaine this to me in easy english?

Thanks in advance!

Peace

Thanks for the picture!
So when i open my xoxbox with the knobs and buttons down, I can see where to cut, but i dont know how.
I just dont want to damage something.
Should i really just cut into the PCB or how does one "cut the trace" safely?

With kind regards

Hi :)

You need to cut the trace on the pcb, you can cut it with sharp knife.
First easaly remove the mask and then cut the trace with ginsu knife.
If you not sure how and where to cut when I'll get back home I'll take a pic of the knife and where to cut.

Cheers,

Hi,
Now I have fixed the problem, I wanted to cut the trace on the false side of the PCB, where one doesnt see the line.
When i removed the front pannel everything began to be clear:-)
I really must have the Picture of the Xoxbox PCB like the little pic you posted before.
I havent found this elsewhere, please can someone uploade it for me.

Peace,
Manuel
