Thanks for the quick reply...
What Im after is a board that can have up to 40 inputs for photocell sensors attached.
Im a bit of a newbie at this.

That board has analog inputs that take 0-5v. That is the same range as the analog inputs on the arduino.

This tutorial shows how to connect a light sensor to an arduino. It should be applicable to that board as well: http://www.ladyada.net/learn/sensors/cds.html

Thanks very much for the reply.
Is threre a board you can recommend that doesent take to much programming and have a MIDI out connection?
Basically I want 40 Light sensors attached to the board, with lasers pointing towards the sensors.
Just like the laser harp: http://www.ladyada.net/make/midisense/laserharp.html but on a much bigger scale.
Thankyou.

MIDI is not my area of expertise. Maybe one of the other forum regulars will have some suggestions for you.

Hi textile

from here http://adafruit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12708 i can see that i can add a midi to cv/gate, can i use it with an SH101 to play in BANNED? i mean to write midi notes from the SH101 inside BANNED.

It could be done with some fine adjustment. I will set up a test and see just how fine it can go.
Is the sh101 1v/oct or hz/volts?

Oh yeah I will have this option on the boards that I will be selling. Resistive or Voltage to Midi.

I don't have a sh101 :( But I will test for 1v/oct tracking (reverse)
I might get the time to do it later tonight. I have a few x0x orders to build quickly.
