i just purchased two additional midisense kits

Post by nym »

due to my enormous satisfaction with my beautifully working midisense unit, i have purchased two additional midisense kits, bringing my collection to 3 total.

i have never had so much geeky fun as i have in building my own midi controllers.

my first project was Hollow Book, a midi controller built into a hollowed book.
my next project is to modify my technics 1200 turntable and build a midisense unit into the turntable itself. in this way, the turntable will have its own crossfader, as well as four other knobs and a channel pressure footpedal. maybe i'll even work in one of those GBD120s in there.

midisense deserves more of a community.
it is a wonderful project, and has led to an explosion of midi understanding and use.

thanks.

i forgot to mention that HollowBook totally impressed my colleagues, professors and classmates.

my professor really dug it, and though i burned the devil out of my two fingers with a soldering iron moments before taking a writing exam (yes, my pencil-fingers), it was totally worth it.
