When I opened the kit I was missing one of the 49.9K 1% 1/8W resistors, and I accidentally put in the 220uF 6.3V power supply capacitors (I think), did not pay attention to the one with the long lead...geesh.
I checked on Digikey and can get these parts with shipping and handling for about $2.65, but was wondering if anyone else knows where I can get for any cheaper...

We can replace the missing part. Just contact support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread.
For the capacitor, you could check Mouser or RadioShack online. But shipping on a small order is probably not going to get much cheaper. If you have a RadioShack retail store locally, you might find one there.
