That is correct. We only supply components we have tested to work reliably.

Hi, just a quick question regarding the solar/usb LiPo charger (project id 390). I understand that the voltage output will be 3.7 - 4.2 volts but what is the maximum safe amperage a load can draw? I want to get one (when it's back to stock!) and use it to power a small amp like this http://www.crazybutable.com/projects/solar-stella. I mean if the amp designer says he used your circuit to power his amp, he's probably successfully tested it. But it will make me feel a little better if I had some actual numbers. Thank you!

The maximum safe discharge rate is a function of the battery. Typically in the range of 1-2C. (C = battery capacity/1hr). Most LiPo cells should have no problem powering that amp.
