Common problem ?

Hey Adas,

I ordered the mintyboost v3 from watterott.de (only because I'm german)
but it was orginally from adafruit.
I soldered the kit an tried it out... but then it
didn't work. So I resoldered everything and checked
the connections,searched 4 bridges and shortcircuits.
After a while it worked when I put it in the "fake altoids"
box and tied it up.
Sadly the connection between the kit and my ipod touch
3rd gen. was way more than worse, checking it with my
Multimeter? (voltage checking device ) I found out that
the Voltage changed between 0.04 & 4.99
at number 1 & 4 and 0.01 & 1.97
on the data line. Now it stays at 0.04, 0.01 ?
What should I do? Btw this is my second real project after the tvb gone kit.

Hi Phero,

The problem you describe sounds like an intermittent solder connection.
Post photos of the front & back of the board and we'll check your soldering.

I've made a few photos of the pcb, but the pcb looks a bit untidy, because I don't have that much experience with this ( or my soldering iron is bad ).
There is a dark spot,because I had to resolder some parts like I said in my last posting.

Why I can't attach my photos ? Everytime it sais "...invalid".

Most of the solder joints look good, but there are a couple that look questionable. Check here for tips on fixing common problems: http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-guid ... n-problems

I found out that

Are you measuring this with the phone attached?

For posting photos on the forum, it helps to re-size them to about 800x600.

thank you. I resoldered/reheated everything and repaired all connection now they are
Good shaped and not "cold".
