NEEEDDD HELP

Post by Kpanchal »

Hi guys,

We are students from a business school. For a project we need to create a product that really works. we are hoping to create a portable charger because we all have a passion for computers. We are really stick on getting the right resistors on apple products. We are using a 9V battery, l7805 voltage regulator, 2 75K resistors, 2 49.9K resistors, and a felmale usb. If anyone could help that would mean a lot to us as we have been trying to get this right for the last 4 months and had no progress :(

Once again a very big thank you! :D

I think the problem is the 9v battery. It will not supply enough current to charge an iPhone. You need a battery that can supply at least 500mA. 6x AA NiMH cells (7.2v) would probably work better.

There are many boost converters with different requirements. Our MintyBoost has a detailed tutorial that explains how to build and use it.
