Tin not closing

Post by insurrectum »

Everything fits perfectly in my tin, but the top won't close all of the way due to the battery enclosure. Any ideas on what to do?

just push down on the battery holder with batteries inside to pop the bottom out a bit.

Closing Tin

Post by duboisj »

Filing down the edges and corners of the battery case worked for me - you can take away quite a bit of the plastic and still have a working case. I also omitted the foam tape from the battery case b/c it's tall. Not sure what I'll use to secure the batteries, but the lid closes great with the tin intact and unbent.

Also, it's possible (dangerous?) to cut through the tin with an xacto knife. You can get a hole for the usb connector with tin remaining on all four sides, instead of making a slot with snips.
