Minty is heating up but will not charge

I've just began soldering not long ago when I bought the minty boost, from what I see I did everything right, followed the instructions carefully but it won't work, someone help?

Post clear photos of the front and back of the Minty and we'll check it over. Did you do the voltage tests in the tutorial? What were the results?

Resize them to about 800x600.

The voltage readings were also completely random

Diode D1 and Capacitor C3 are both installed backwards. You will need to turn those around. Looks like a few cold solder joints there too. Have a look at our soldering tutorial and touch up any that look suspect.

The back-side photo is a little fuzzy. I have marked the ones with visible problems, but there may be more. Touch up these and any others that are not smooth & shiny and flowed well onto both the pin and the pad.

These two components are installed backwards and need to be turned around.
