OK, picture this, science project...due soon.
We soldered everything together and it looks good. I have an ancient analog meter set on 10 DC V. When I test the 1st and 4th post, I get 5.2V great!
When we test post 2 & 4 or 3 & 4, we get close to 1V. I may be reading the thing wrong, but what could be the issue? Do you think it may still work? I don't want to solder on the USB until we know.

Post photos of the front & back of the board. And also post a photo of hour you are taking that 1v measurement.

We borrowed a modern tester with a digital readout. The #1 & #4 read 4.99. The #2 & #4 and #3 & #4 read about 1.96. So it doesn't appear that low anymore. Are these numbers in the acceptable range?
