I have done a mintyboost V3.
I got 5V at the output and also 1.9V for both data pin.
However, when it is connected to Sony Xperia & HTC One X, it couldn't charge.
p/s: I'm using DC power supply with 3V output.
Some of the symptoms found:
1. after connecting to the phone, the current drawn from IC would be raised up to 2.5A, and the voltage will drop from 5V to around 2V.
2. after connecting to the phone, the data line voltage rise from 1.9V to 2.5V.
Q1 . Is this normal?
Q2. is inductor a critical part? Cause im using the other type as u can see from the photo
.
Q3. for HTC One X, when connected to the phone, the screen will off, no matter what I pressed, no response. Once removed, screen displays again.
Hope someone can help pleaseeeeeee! Thanks!

Re: Couldn't Charge Sony Xperia & HTC One X
I can see at least two electrical shorts from solder bridging across the tracks. If they are intentional - I have found it is better to use an off cut 'leg' bent in a 'u' shape to bridge tracks (or a wire trace) rather than smudging solder across them.

now it is charging! atleast the handphone show it is! but the percentage doesn't goes up!
What could be wrong now?
Could it be the different inductor used?
