Large Inductor

Post by mistertek »

I purchased the inductor using the link on the "Make It" area for MintyBoost from Mouser. I purchased them a few times and the first set were small (matching the pictures on this site). However, the subsequent orders using the same part number, have resulted in receiving a physically much larger part. Electrically they appear the same. I'm wondering if anyone has used these larger parts (they are a pain to make fit). Everything seems to work very well and the output voltage is right on.

Thanks

i tend to use the smaller ones but larger ones will probably give slightly better performance

I didn't intend to use a larger one, I just happened to use Mouser rather than Digikey. I will be using Digikey's parts in the future as I prefer the smaller size as well.

Thanks!

p.s. That's for creating a brilliant little circuit!
