My daughter just got an Ipod Touch for Christmas and is leaving in two weeks from today for Thailand which is a 14 hr flight for her. She needs battery backup to watch movies on her ITouch. It looks like the Minty Boost is still having problems charging the these devices based on the latest forum posts.
I am wondering if I can just put (4) "C" Alkaline cells in a holder and wire a USB cord +Red to the positive side of the battery and the -Black to the negative side of the battery. Do you think this woud work? 4x1.5v=6.0v but it might be too much current ? Dont want to brick her new Ipod
Thanks in advance for your response!
Ipod Touch quick charger.

There's actually alot of devices that do this, I have an iBoost, it was like $10 from a dollar store, and I had a one time-use one also. Maybe google or search eBay for one of those
