Blackberry Q10 and MintyBoost v3

Post by MeMike »

Hopefully someone can help.

I built a MintyBoost v3 per the instructions. Got 4.948v (GND/V Pins 1.970v D+/V, D-/V Pins).
Plugged it into a USB Power Gauge, then plugged in to a Blackberry Q10.
1) The USB Power Gauge seems to surge (1-4 W)
2) The Blackberry Charge indicator turns on, then fades then turns off.
3) The The USB Power Gauge continues to surge (1-4 W).

Soldered the 2 Middle USB Pins. Still get 1.97v between the D-/D+ (Shorted) and V Pins.
Same results as above.

Then plugged the USB Power Guage/USB Cable/Blackberry into a USB Hub.
Rock steady at 3W.

Should I remove the 2 "iDevice" resistors and replace with jumpers?

I realize that the Minty is not confirmed to work with BB Q10.
But .......

Added information
- Checked the Voltage with the Phone connected 4.650v
+ May have switched the GND and V Pins in the above post (read a diagram wrong)
