Working wavebubble!

Post by cmolson »

Hey guys, I got my wave bubble all put together and its working now!

I only had two problems while building:

1) Soldered C2 backwards on the li-poly battery board and so it was heating up and not working.
2) Was having problems with the software not writing the programs to eeprom, this was fixed by using the windows tools to compile and program the unit.

To program the unit I used the BSD (http://www.bsdhome.com/avrdude/) programmer, and for VCC I just turned on the power to the board.

I have tested 850/1900 bands for cell phones as well as the 2400-2483 for wifi. I am using external whip antennas and can get about 10/15 feet for cell phones and wifi.

I am very happy with the results so far and hopefully can tweak it a bit more.
