Problem: Certain LEDs failing to light at all

Post by royshearer »

Hi,

I have a set of version 1.0b SpokePOVs, one of which was in an accident and took a bit of a bash. The result is that LEDs 5-6, 11-14, 35-36, and 41-44 do not light at all now, neither in the test run when the board is powered up, nor when the pattern is running. Any ideas as to the source of the problem? IC1 took the worst of the hit so I wonder if it might be that.

cheers!
Roy

No, the bad LEDs are in the same regions on both sides, as if mirrored in the plane of the board, if you will..
