USB ASP for SpokePOV

Post by m00njal »

Hi, I searched but am not sure if this has already been asked, but is the SpokePOV software for Windows/Mac only be meant to be used with a USBTiny ISP programmer? or can something similar like USBasp (powered by ATmega48) which also has a 10 pin header/libusb driver will work?

I wanted to try a small usb adapter like the one listed here

http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-ISP-Programmer- ... 2838wt_905

However, SpokePOV software says it can't open port. I am assembling a USBTinyISP kit as I write this, but am just wondering about the technicalities.....

Thanks in advance
