Wrong resistor networks?

Post by Punkshnitz »

Hi, just building my first lot of spokePOV's and just a quick querie. Noticed on the parts list it states that blue LED's require a 56 ohm but the kit was shipped with 68 ohm which the parts list says is for the green.

Don't want to install them till I know for sure cheers!

Not to necro this post, but it is relevant...

I cracked one resistor network, and bought a replacement 27 Ohm (I have yellow LEDs). Then I noticed the kit included 39 Ohm resistor networks. Is one resistor being different going to effect LED brightness, heat, longevity, etc. (should I get 39 Ohm to match)?

27 ohms will be slightly brighter than 39. Heat and longevity effects will be insignificant. For best appearance you probably want a matching network.
