SpokePOV colour

I ordered spoke pov RED, can I replace red LEDs with green ones?
Still didn't assemble my kit :)

If you want to install green LEDs, you should replace the resistor networks RN1-RN8 with 68 ohm parts as shown in the parts list: http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/makespokepov.html

Do I need to use some special green LEDs or I can get any one from ebay or local component store?

Any common 5mm green led should work fine. :)

One more thing if I may ask :)
how many MCD should my green LEDs be, so 2x AA batteries could support it

The AAs will drive any 5mm green LEDs. So get the brightest ones you can find. :)
