TechShop is in Menlo Park (with a new one gong into SF soon.) Sawdust Shop in Sunnyvale (?) I think they all have laser cutters, though they're set up as DIY shops rather than services...

You could email Patrick and Veronica at http://revision3.com/tekzilla
I think they have their own Versatec but would be likely to know what's available in San Francisco.

replying to an old thread, but maybe its useful for the bay area folks.
I'm a techshop member and I am doing a bit of lasercutting, these days (for personal use). if you need some stuff done, PM me and we can discuss it. I'm not in this for a business, but I could help some local bay area makers out if they don't want to go thru the time of joining and learning the laser cutters there.

Re: Laser Etching Service in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Did you ever find help?
If not I have several lasers.
1. CO2 50watt gantry system
2. 30watt fiber (1064nm) mounted to a galvo head
3. 100watt fiber (1064nm) gantry
I use my galvo system to etch circuits all the time. I am able to keep 2mil line widths with 2 mil spacing. The only catch it has to be on ceramic material. I found that FR4, Rogers 4003 tend to burn.
Im located in Sacramento and drive to the Bay Area once a week.
