I want build a compact standalone wifi sniffer with my new Beaglebone. I came across the new Miniature WiFi module from adafruit and wanted to ask, does anyone know if it supports RFMON/Monitor mode? Has anyone tried using it with Aircrack-ng?
Also, any recommendations on which USB WiFi module works best with Beaglebone + Aircrack-ng?
Does Miniature WiFi support RFMON/Monitor mode?

You'll need to figure out which chipsets support it, this is an RTL8192. It works great with the Bone but not sure what RFMON or Aircrack is

adafruit, thanks for the quick response! I guess the best way would be to test it out.
Do you have any specs on the received signal strength (in db?).

Everything we know is in the technical tab, we'll try to get an external-antenna version that works, but unfortunately we found that not all USB adapters were friendly with the Bone, this one was!
