8 pin sim holder

by Ken314159 on Thu Nov 01, 2012 6:58 pm

I'm assembling the sim reader from the adafruit kit and notice that the holder that came with the kit has eight contacts while the holder pictured in the instructions seems to have six, which matches the schematic in the board. My holder seems to align well with the board schematic so that one contact on each side wouldn't be connected, but before soldering it I'd like to verify that my holder the right one. Is likely to work?

Where did you purchase the kit? Can you post pictures of both sides of the circuit board and also of the 8-pin holder?

(EDIT: I've moved the topic to a forum for supported Adafruit products)

I bought the SIM reader kit about a month ago from adafruit. Photos are attached.

Please email support@adafruit.com for a replacement 6-pin card module. Include a link to this thread and your order number.
