Hello guys,
I would like to build a project using the fingerprint sensor from Adafruit ( ID 751 ) and mount it behind a thin layer of glass.
Could someone who has this module and a spare piece of acrylic or glass (1 - 3 mm) please test if this work?
The extra layer, being fully transparent, shouldn't affect the lightning. But I don't know if there's something about image focus, regarding what the sensor was calibrated, or something like that.
Thank you,
Mario

Re: Fingerprint Module with extra cover layer
No, this won't work. The the finger must be in direct contact with the glass.

Too bad... :/
Thanks for the reply.
If someone knows a module that allows this, please post here. This would enable some pretty nice case designs.
Thanks
