Hi there
Just got hands on my brand new fingerprint sensor. Wired up to my arduino as shown in the example (not that difficult ) the sensor doesn't power up.
The red backlight came up for a flash, then USB stopped working due overload.
OK, powersupply with current limiter set to 150mA, also over current. 200mA, still the same
So whats next? - Got a broken part?
Greetings from Switzerland,
Chris

Re: Fingerprint sensor not working..
Have not seen that problem before. Does the LED still flash on power-up with the current-limited supply?
Any obvious signs of a short-circuit, solder-bridge etc on the exposed circuitry?

Re: Fingerprint sensor not working..
It did about four times, now it remains complete dark.
The two pcbs look fine. Should I disassemble the part to check the other pcb side?

Re: Fingerprint sensor not working..
That shouldn't be necessary. If you contact [email protected] with a link to this thread we can arrange for a replacement sensor.
