Greetings,
I recently received the atmega32u4 breakout board but I am having troubles with the driver installation. I get the error message 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'. Looking into it more, it seems like the AVR CDC Bootloader can't find the driver that I saved to my desktop. I'm on 64-bit Windows 7. Here is a screenshot that may help.
How should I go about solving this? Let me know if you need more details. Thank you.

Re: atmega32u4 BB driver install issue
In the driver installation wizard, don't let Windows automatically look for the driver - tell it that you will point it to the right folder. If you're already doing that and it still can't find the driver file, make sure that you have unzipped the driver folder.

Re: atmega32u4 BB driver install issue
Thank you for your reply. I may have downloaded the setup file incorrectly. I saved it to my desktop, but the bootloader didn't see it on my desktop. Tried the download again into a folder and it seemed to have worked now. Thank for your help. Hopefully no more hiccups...

Good luck!
But there will always be hiccups. It's the nature of the beast
