Hi,
I am interested in using the "RF T4 Receiver - 315MHz Toggle Type
Simple RF T4 Receiver - 315MHz Toggle Type (PID: 1097)" reciver for a project but I have some questions. I need to turn on several "tube LED" lights.
My questions are:
1. Your description says to power it from 5 to 10 volts, but the PTC said it can be powered up to 15 volts. Is it safe forme to power it with 12 volts?
2. What is the power pins power and current capability?
3. Do you sell a relay that can be driven by this rx to handle 12 vdc @ 300 ma?
4. Is it safe to drive a relay with this RX? Will I need a reverse biases diode on the relay coil?
5. Do you sell the crimp connectors I need to connect wires to the recivers header pin?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kory

The outputs are directly from the chip.
Link from the produce page:

Unfortunately there is no spec on the maximum output current. Therefore I would ensure that no more than about 2-3mA current is on any output pin. (hopefully an Adafruit person can clarify this).
This will not be enough to drive many relays so I recommend using an NPN transistor to drive the relay coil. Lots of circuits to do this on the web. A relay drive circuit used from an Ardiuo should work.

The chip spec sheet does say 15v, but the mfg says 10v for the receiver circuit. We have not done any testing at higher voltages.
The outputs will drive small leds directly. You will need a transistor for larger loads.
The receiver header will plug into most any 0.1" pitch female connector.
The only thing we have that fits is a female header strip: http://www.adafruit.com/products/598
Or our female jumpers: http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_ ... ale+jumper
