Hi,
My name is Chase, and I'm part of an engineering design team targeted on maximizing fuel efficiency in a small engine. We recently purchased an 8" eTape sensor to measure fuel flow into the engine. Upon arrival, we noticed that the inner two pins of the sensor are reading and incorrect resistance, and isn't varying correctly or consistently in the liquid. I believe the sensor is broken or defective, and would like to request a replacement. I was instructed to make a forum post explaining the situation in order to begin this process. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chase, USA Supermileage Team

Hi Chase,
Have you mounted the sensor according to the app note? http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/eTapeApp.pdf
A common mistake is to tape it to the side of a tank. These need to be exposed to the liquid pressure on both sides.

We mounted it accordingly. The sensor was exposed to the liquid on both sides.
