Hallo,
i have breakout boards with the HT16K33 and I2C connection (ID: 1427) to the microcontroller. I think there are pullup resistors for clock and data allready installed on the little board. What happens, if i put around 10 boards on th I2C bus? The resistors are connected then in parallel and the resulting value of the pullup resistor is wrong.
Have i to unmount the resistors an all boards but one?
How can i do this, because they are SMDs?
Thanks in advance,
LudgerP

Re: Pullup Resistor on I2C
It shouldn't be an issue for 10 boards. But, yes - if you start having I2C problems, then you could unsolder a few pullups. It's wouldn't be necessary to remove all but one of them.
